I started this blog in 2008 to document events in my new son's (Miles) life.
In April of 2010, my second son, Caleb, was born. Since the title is appropriate for both, this blog now chronicles both of their lives and the adventures we share.

renna turns seven

Miles went to his first birthday party on Saturday. The fabulous Miss Jenny Larson threw a runway party for her daughter Renna, who turned 7. It was fierce!

miles wears a hat...

We went to the Wildflower Center this weekend. Miles was futzy because he refuses to sleep even though he knows he should. He did get to wear his fire truck hat for the first time. The kid has a good head for hats.

eddie the elephant

Several weeks ago we hung a mobile over Miles' changing table. It helps to distract him from one of his least favorite past times, diaper changes. He loves it. It was the best idea I've ever had.

porch time

just chilling on the porch, watching the world go by...

easter

Better Luck Next Time... We wanted to get a picture of Miles in the bluebonnets, but it didn't work out. Three month olds don't want to sit up in a field of bluebonnets. Go figure! These are some outtakes from our unsuccessful photo shoot.

happy birthday!!!

January 4, 2008
Miles Rae Leifeste was born at 3:30 pm weighing in at 8lbs 2oz. He was due on January 21st or 14th, depending on who you talk to. Our OB said the 21st, but the ultrasound showed the 14th. His mommy was also born on January 4th. We will forever share the same birthday which means we will forever have two cakes and mommy will finally get the circus-themed birthday party she has always wanted.

the clock is ticking...

miles is coming! miles is coming!
Our good friend Bev took pictures of my huge belly. It was December and I almost froze to death.
